Welcome to the official digital home of EPAK (www.epakorea.org)
The Ethiopian Professionals Association in Korea (EPAK) was officially founded on January 30, 2025, by a dedicated group of Ethiopian professionals residing in South Korea. The association was formally registered and attained its legal status on November 4, 2025, culminating in its historic inaugural General Assembly meeting on February 21, 2026.
As the President of this esteemed association, it is my absolute honor to welcome our members, partners, and friends to a platform built on the shared aspirations of the Ethiopian professional diaspora. EPAK is more than just a registered organization; it is a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive community. It is a home away from home where your ambitions are nurtured, your expertise is valued, and your potential is limitless.
Our foundation is built upon a clear and powerful vision: to be a leading platform for Ethiopian professionals in Korea, fostering excellence, collaboration, and innovation to drive positive change in Ethiopia, Korea, and beyond. We stand firmly on our core values of excellence, collaboration, integrity, innovation, community, and impact. These are not just words on our website; they are the guiding principles that define every project we undertake and every partnership we forge.
To our members—whether you are a professor, a postdoctoral researcher, a student, or an industry professional, this association is designed to empower you. We are deeply committed to providing you with opportunities for career advancement, skill development, and professional growth. By engaging with EPAK, you are joining a network dedicated to knowledge exchange, intellectual discourse, and collaborative innovation. I urge you to take full ownership of this platform, actively participate in our events, and lend your unique expertise to our shared goals.
To our partners and stakeholders—including academic institutions, industry leaders, NGOs, the Ethiopian Embassy in Korea, and the Korean Embassy in Ethiopia—we extend a warm invitation to collaborate with us. EPAK represents a bridge of talent, culture, and economic exchange. Together, we can drive meaningful, sustainable initiatives that address development challenges in Ethiopia and simultaneously strengthen the bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Korea. Let us use this website as our dynamic hub to connect, share ideas, and showcase the profound contributions of Ethiopian professionals to the global community. We are stronger when we work together, and I am incredibly excited for the historic journey we are embarking on.
Welcome to EPAK. Welcome home.
